I am a US Navy Veteran with a 20% service connected disability. I am married to a US Navy Veteran who retired after 20 years of service. We have two grown children, a son and a daughter. They both have bachelor degrees in history and neither of them wants to teach. They both live at home. My son has a cat and my daughter has a dog. I have a cat, a Blue Russian named Violet AKA Buggy. My husband now teaches. Both children work full time. I have a BFA in Graphic Design, which I never had the chance to put to work. I graduated as the economy collapsed and no one was looking for a beginning graphic designer! So I went to work for the VA processing Veterans’ disability claims and helping to solve problems. Has anyone heard the word STRESS. Has anybody heard the word FIBROMYALGIA? Well, one lead to the other on top of my disability and I use my creative outlets to try to deal with it all. So I will share with you my creations in fashion and home decor and art from the Polyvore site. I will share recipes from my own kitchen and friends on other sites and Pinterest. I will share my progress in relearning to crochet and knit and maybe some free patterns from the site Ravelry. I may share some political opinions, especially when they involve Veterans and their treatment. I try to stay out of politics, because I usually don’t understand how decisions will affect things in the long run. But I understand Veterans and their benefits. I’ll try not to get up on my soapbox too much. I love animals, especially cats and dogs. I’ve had cats all my life. However, when my husband and I finally retire, he wants a dog. So, I’d like to get a pair of French Bulldogs. I love to read, romance historical or contemporary or futuristic or paranormal, women’s bios and biographical novels (well researched), fun mysteries, gumshoe mysteries, art books about journaling and similar topics. So I hope you’ll join me as I share some of this, just for fun.
